The Iraq Museum Visual Identity
As the Lead for the Iraqi Museum’s visual identity redesign, I headed a strategic initiative to bridge Mesopotamia's rich heritage with modern design aesthetics. My role involved an in depth exploration of the museum's history and its diverse collections, spanning the Sumerian, Akkadian, Babylonian, and Assyrian eras. I spearheaded the collaboration between our design team, professional translators, and museum staff to ensure cultural authenticity. The goal was to create a cohesive visual language that honors the past while engaging a global, contemporary audience.


Fight Club: A Journey from Paper Narrative to Visual Shock (A Comparative Study)
This research presents a comparative study of Chuck Palahniuk’s novel Fight Club and its film adaptation directed by David Fincher, titled Fight Club: A Journey from Paper Narrative to Visual Shock (A Comparative Study) . The study addresses a main research problem: What are the points of difference and overlap between the novel and the film in terms of narrative structure, key symbols, and visual language? The research adopts a descriptive analytical comparative method and applies three theoretical approaches: narratology to analyze the narrator, time, and point of view; semiotics to interpret central symbols such as soap, fighting, and scars; and visual culture to examine how meaning is constructed through cinematic images. The findings show that both works rely on an unreliable narrator and a fragmented narrative time, but the film translates this structure through a visual paradox between voice over and image, which intensifies the impact of revealing the protagonist’s divided identity. The study also finds that the novel’s symbols function mainly as reflective linguistic metaphors, while the film turns them into shocking visual icons with wide cultural visibility. The research concludes that the cinematic visual dimension adds a layer of sensory shock to the critique of consumer society and the identity crisis, while the novel preserves a deeper internal philosophical dimension making the relationship between the two texts complementary rather than hierarchical.


Al-Jawahiri: A Visual Tribute
Exhibited at the A.M. Qattan Foundation, this poster translates Al-Jawahiri’s iconic poem (Tigris of Bounty) into a visual experience. It blends fluid calligraphy with river inspired motifs to evoke nostalgia and the deep-rooted essence of Iraqi identity.


Wetland Drought
Created for the Design: A Language of Change exhibition at ICD Brookfield Place, this poster highlights the environmental crisis in the Iraqi Marshes. I crafted the typography using the literal textures of cracked, parched earth, layered with heat map gradients to visually communicate the rising temperatures and the loss of Iraq’s natural heritage.


Sumer in the Marshes: A Modern Record
A series of oil paintings documenting the enduring Sumerian legacy within the daily life of the Iraqi Marshes. This work bridges ancient Mesopotamian symbols with contemporary reality, capturing the timeless flow of identity. Medium: Oil on Canvas.


IQMC-UK
I created the Editorial Design for this comprehensive report, documenting the first Iraqi Medical Congress in London. My design translates complex discussions into a high end visual narrative. This report has been officially shared with the Prime Minister's Office and Iraqi Ministries as a formal record of this transformative healthcare event.
